LOTS GOING ON

Tuesday Radiant Pro thought he was finished but there was a small leak in the valve body that the company provided for him so he will be back on Wednesday morning to fix that.
Devils Lake Rock Hauled off the dirt pile and replaced it with nice gravel.

They even got the areas in front of the doors ready for pavement.
I moved the Scaffolding over to my shop to get ready for the electricians.
This morning I went to Bi-Mart to pick up the 12 storage cabinets that Stephanie had ordered,
While I was gone Devils Lake Rock had finished the paving, and
It seems like everyone else had showed up to.
Button Plumbing installed the toilet and sink in the bathroom,
Ben had the lights up in my shop,

and all of the downstairs lighting in place.
They were working on the loft lighting when they quit for the night and they will return on Thursday at 7:30 a.m.
Mel from Ace Alarms install the smoke detecters and security system.

More Sheetrock

On Sunday, Steve came back in the afternoon and we put up some more sheetrock.

Also the crew came in to put up the gutters, but they ran into some problems and ended up ruining one of the gutters so they will have to order some more material and will come back later.

Monday Radiant Pro should be here to install the water heater for the heating system.
And Steve and I dug a trench and put in a conduit for the alarm system.
On Monday Ben called to say he would try to come down on Wednesday and finish the lights.
Devils Lake Rock will be there on Tuesday to remove the excess dirt left over from digging the post holes.

Back to Making Messes

It has been almost a week since I have been able to post anything because I have been busy, but recent developments have been; We made a trip to Tillamook with our pick up because Ray was going to loan use his scaffolding, on the way back the pick up quit running, twice, bad points was the culprit, but both times GOD made sure there was just enough light so that I could file them a little and then reset them and get a little further down the road.
Also this week the Electrician showed up and started wiring for our lights and ceiling fans. Using Ray's scaffolding they were able to get the fan and one fixture in my shop,
They then discovered they had the wrong bulb for that fixture, so then they concentrated on Stephanie's area and the bathroom.
they worked 1 1/2 days then took off. Meanwhile Steve showed up and the two of us started putting up the rest of the sheet rock,
when the last piece we put up almost took me off the stairs while Steve was repositioning, we decided that was enough for the day.
Also Mel from the Alarm Company showed up and we decided on what we needed for this building and he should be back on Tuesday to Install it.

Our Stairs

Here are the photos of the work that Ray did in our building, starting with the framing of the bathroom,
then there is the wall that separates the two sections of the building along with the stairs.
This is the design of the handrail that Stephanie came up with and Ray was able to construct to comply with the building code.
The design is basically sheets of tempered glass between two 4X4's, then held in place with quarter-round.
The stair handrail is a 2X6  with routed edges and 2X2's for balusters.

Start of second day

Yesterday Ray did a lot of work in the building, the least of which was laying out the bath room walls,
The bulk of his work was starting the partition wall,
and building the stairs,
Today we finished the Stairs, Build the handrails, completed the wall and framed the bathroom. (pictures to follow)

More work

Today Buster came back to finish his portion of the building,
he replaced some of the trim over the windows and put trim around the rafters up under the eves.
In the meantime I did the catch basins for in front of the building.
Ben had been down and we now have electricity in the building, one main panel,
and a sub-panel.
Buster and one of his guys tried to finish the sheetrock,
but they ran out of material in the bathroom.

We'll see what Matt does on Monday.
Also we ordered the gutters, and the gas line should be in by wednesday.

Still working

No pictures today I was busy,  beside helping customers with their storage units I dug a trench for the gas line, which will be in by tuesday, and dug another trench for the catch basins in front of the building. Then Steve and and Vince showed up and we loaded the pole that we took out a long time ago.
Ray showed up and we talked about the stairs and catwalk and he said that he would be available in a week to do the job.

Parker Almost Done

Well on Wednesday as promised Parker's crew left, after getting the outside finished as well as,
Getting both of the overhead doors installed,
and most of the sheetrock up, someone still has to come down and "Tape and Plaster" the Fire walls.
Also they did not have the latches or emergency stops for the overhead doors, so they have to come back to finish that.
Next we have to decide how we will finish the south wall, I'll ask the inspector tomorrow if we can use sheetmetal.
Meanwhile Rosie was trying to sneak up on me in the loft.
Again we still need to cover this wall.
In this view from the Loft you can see how they had to wrap the post and rafters with sheetrock.
We also had to leave the plumbing exposed for the inspector, who came by today and had only one minor change for Dave.
So we could put in the rest on the insulation and in a couple of days Buster from Parker Building will be back to seal things up.
