Aw!! the week end

Well today is the annual Lincoln City Yard Sale and we have 7 Renters taking advantage of it, Stephanie and I are providing only coffee and doughnuts this year and doing it as a one-day event. Tomorrow I sing in the morning in Newport then hopefully I can go get the transmission for the F-100 in the afternoon, weather permitting.
On the building front I sent an email to Troy about the questions that Ben had.

On Giong

This Morning we talked with Ben the Electrician and he gave me a couple of questions to ask Troy of CentLincPUD about placement of the meter and size of conduit that we will be needing. Then I installed Leopard on Steph and my computers it was easy but took a while.

Todays news

well today we called Ben about the electrical and also called Trachte (new rep is Chris O'Hearn) and ask for pricing on the interior walls. Parker called to confirm tomorrows appointment and we are set to sign the papers.
Diane sent an email saying that Carl is Home already but not to active yet. Yesterday the Blackjack Tournament ended in a whimper, but at least i made a little money playing the slots.

Stand-by

Well we've taken a couple of days off, sort of, Thursday is a blur and Friday we went into Portland to see Brother Carl after his Knee Replacement Surgery, we then went to Scrapaction in 'Nof' Portland and Stephanie found some materials to use in her Studio. We then went to CWC for the BlackJack Tournament sign-up and ate in the Fine Dining room. then back to the store to close it up for the night.
Today I did my thing at Rosie's then went to play cards. The first round I kept $500.00 of the $2,000.00 and the second round I made it to $3,100.00 a couple of the 130 players have made it to $5,100.00 (all in tournament chips not real $). After that I went back to Rosie's and then we we to Gleneden Beach Beach and flew a couple of Kites.

Some Results

Yesterday afternoon We called Parker and told them to "come on down" and sign papers, then we heard from Radiant Pro by Fax ($6,000.00) and their bid looked good as well, so things are beginning to gather momentum.
Today I was going to stay home and play with the F-100, BUT PUD showed up so off to Rosie's, Troy (from PUD) said that they could pull the pole and we could run service to a METER pedestal then to NEW building then inside the New building to the East Wall, then from the NEW building to the Existing Building underground and only use the one Meter. So now I need to call Ben and let him know about that plan.
We also heard from Greg's Concrete and his bid was $7,500.00 (plus only the cost of the wire mesh for the heating pipes) which is material and labor for a 6" 3,000 psi slab with "zip strips" between the poles.
Talked with Atlantis Plumbing and he does not do new construction but he said try Buttons in Toledo.
And I was able to get the mirrors installed on the F-100 now if I could just get a Transmission.

Waiting & waiting

Monday was uneventful, contacted in person both Groth Gates and Radar Plumbing and neither one of them contacted me in return. Then I talked with George Helm (Ranchero guy in Lincoln City) and he said the he has a C-6 trans (a take-out for a 67 F-100) out at his nephews place he would sell for $100, but when I called to set up a time to go get it he said his nephew was out of town until Thursday night.
This morning I called Radiant Pro in Beaverton 503-928-3314 and Tim there talked with me and took the information and will FAX us a bid.
Still waitng to hear from Central Lincoln PUD.

Just Keeping Current

Today I am going to work on my pick-up, still waiting to hear about the trans from Carl, but there is a lot of other work to do.
Friday Tamara stopped by and brought Andy's collection of kites for me to store and maintain, there are 17 kites two large wind socks one foil and a bunch of small wind socks, so far I have found only one that needs repiaring and it has a wood frame.

Part Two

Talk to the Concrete guy and he will send us an estimate, but we need to check with the heating co, who have not called us back, about any needed support for the radiant piping. Also need to find any plans form the old conversion by Trachte.

Daily Journal

Well here is the latest on the on going saga of our lives, Today April 4, 2008 first thing this morning I met with Ben MacQuaid with Roberts Electric about service to the new building an he recommended a 200 amp service on the west side of the building with a breaker panel behind it and a 100 amp sub panel in the east end for my shop requirements (which could later be disconnected or remove if converted to storage). He then said that I needed to talk to the Power Co about moving the Pole, so I called Central Lincoln PUD and talked to Laura, Started the process and said that I should here from an engineer by no later than Tuesday and it would probably be Troy, so I should have the pole and meter numbers ready for when he calls (pole# A28C/57 meter# 93706337-53515).
I then talked with Mark at the water Co and he said that there would be no problem building where we wanted to build.
