Working Inside

We have been working on the Studio-Gallery for the last couple of days. We installed the "Sailfish" glass (was made as a table) in one of the walls,
The other 'fixed walls are finished and all that is left well be a moveable wall made out of the display cases we got when 'Phalscraft' closed, which present another problem because they are so tall and skinny they have a tendency to be tipsy.

Inside and Outside

With all the wonderful weather that we have been having, we were able to do a little work outside, such as move the sign to the front of the new building.

So now Stephanie is thinking about other changes that we can do,

Like more signage for the Gallery and Studio.

Stephanie has picked the location for her 'corner office' :-)
and we have started putting the Studio-Library together. (the library is a resource library of books and magazines that Stephanie has acquired for artists to use)
We still need to finish putting the tile in the windowsills.
We have decided on the style of wall we are putting in between the Gallery and the Studio.

Of course my side still looks the same because we use it for staging and assembly of what ever we are working on at the moment.

Details Details Details

My side doesn't change much while the work continues,
Daryl has put a Sealer on the floor so now we can star working on other things such as,

Putting the Lockers upstairs that Stephanie will be renting out to Artists that want in on the "MY ART LOCKER" package.

As well as setting up the area downstairs that will have the sink, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot.

I also put the finishing touches around the windows.

Finishing the Interior

Daryl worked on the wall for a couple of days with his helper, and finished it on Tuesday.

Some of the positions that he put himself into were a little scary.
But the final look is GREAT, and it comes so close to the color of the Slatwall.
Speaking of which, Ray was there to put up the rest of the wall, which required a lot of cutting and fitting.
Cutting the Slatwall created an awful lot of very fine dust.

But in two days Ray and I were able to get the rest of the Slatwall up,
and Stephanie just loves it.
Stephanie has also been putting her touches here and there.
